John Paul Merritt

John Paul Merritt is the Chairman of Delta Agriculture, the largest supplier of hemp-based raw goods in the United States. He is also the founder and acting CEO of Pony Oil, a land-focused oil and gas company established in 2013. Pony Oil today is one of the largest land focused oil and gas companies in the US with over $150 million in annual revenues. In 2017, John Paul founded Merritt Plus, a family office focused on creating long-term sustainable value and opportunities for its strategic partners.

An entrepreneur at heart, Merritt’s business interests span across numerous industries, from real estate and biotechnology to hospitality and agriculture, but his primary focus has long centered on energy, both traditional and renewable.

George Overbey

George Overbey serves as Chief Executive Officer of Delta Agriculture and leads all aspects of sales. Prior to Delta Ag, George was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Pony Oil where he managed trading and investment strategy. While at Pony Oil, he led the deployment of over $1 billion of capital into the energy space via strategic partnerships with public and private operators, royalty funds, and family offices. George received a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Oklahoma State University.

Nick Strawn

Nick Strawn serves as Chief Operating Officer of Delta Agriculture and is responsible for optimizing the company’s supply chain. Prior to Delta Ag, Nick incubated two cannabis companies with the support of Pony Oil. The first was Harvest Direct Enterprises, a biotech and intellectual property development company with a patented best-in-class decarboxylation process. The second was YIPS, an award-winning provider of Total Spectrum CBD Softgels. Nick received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Graham Owens

Graham Owens serves as President of Delta Agriculture and is responsible for business development and managing regulatory affairs. Prior to Delta Ag, Graham was Director of Regulatory, Tax, and Domestic Economic Policy for the National Association of Manufacturers, the largest manufacturing industrial trade association in the United States. Graham received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from George Washington University Law School.

Philip Park serves as Senior Vice President of Delta Agriculture and is responsible for leading financial growth initiatives. Prior to Delta Ag, Philip was Senior Financial Analyst at Cetera Financial Group. While at Cetera, he led annual budgeting for a company with over $1 billion in revenue and was directly responsible for all revenue forecasting across all business lines. Philip received a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Virginia.
